Disaster Relief

As part of our mission to serve musicians in their communities around the world, Gibson Gives has coordinated relief efforts in response to numerous natural disasters to help get people back on their feet and find healing through music.

2025: Los Angeles - Fire Relief

With fires in Los Angeles impacting so many in our music community, Gibson Gives is taking action to support relief efforts across nine pillars both independently and in partnership with other brands to make the largest possible impact.

These include community support deliveries of essential resources, assistance to individual artists through MusiCares and instrument replacement with the Guitar Center Foundation, and providing resources to schools to continue music education with Music Rising. Independently, Gibson Gives is replacing lost instruments for artists in our Gibson family, providing guitars to unlock funds for partner nonprofits through auctions, assisting employees through our internal GoldTop initiative, and will be fundraising for first responders through t-shirt sales and a percentage of Gibson Garage sales.

2024: North Carolina - Hurricane Relief

As part of 2024’s Hurricane Milton relief effort, Gibson Gives coordinated partnerships with multiple artists and organizations to raise funds and replace instruments lost in the catastrophic flooding in North Carolina. These included working with Miranda Lambert’s Music For Mutts foundation raising $30,000 for Helene relief, a supplies drive in partnership with Big Machine Music City Grand Prix, and contributing to the planning and promotion of Asheville’s Concert for Carolina event featuring headliners Luke Combs and Eric Church.

2020: Nashville - Tornado Relief

When devastating tornadoes damaged homes and businesses across the music community in our own backyard, Gibson Gives launched a Guitar Recovery Program to provide over 300 new guitars to musicians whose instruments were destroyed in the storms. As the hometown for our USA Factory and HQ, our team members gathered to help donate and deliver much-needed basic supplies like hygiene products, cleaning supplies and diapers.

2023: Armenia Fund - Humanitarian Aid

In an ongoing partnership to provide humanitarian aid to Armenia, Gibson and Gibson Gives have created a series of guitars to be auctioned and raise funds. These efforts have also included songs released on Gibson Records in collaboration with Serj Tankain and Tommy Iommi with proceeds benefitting the Armenia Fund.

2023: Maui, Hawaii - FIre Relief

In collaboration with Free Guitars for Kids and artist Kapali Long, Gibson Gives sent guitars to established shelters in Maui to assist children in coping with displacement and loss as their lives slowly returned to normal.

2022: Ukraine - Humanitarian Relief

To stand behind the Ukrainian Relief effort, Gibson luthiers crafted a limited run of four Guitars for Peace Les Paul Custom electric guitars played on tour by artists like Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Slash, Lzzy Hale and more. The guitars and accompanying autograph books were included in Julien’s Auctions and raised a total of $140,000.
